“We” are family

Bridezillas, John Edwards’ Crossing Over, and me.

I hinted at this a little while back, and now, here it is…

My new mommy blogging gig went live today at WeTV.com:

I’ll still be here, most days. Twice a week I’ll be over there, with one “personal” post, and one post where I get to talk about stuff I find around the web and link to posts by other mom and dad bloggers (what they call “aggregate posts” in the biz).

You’ll notice this first one, after the intro, is an aggregate. Be sure to visit the last link I mention. It’s a mind blow.

And because I can’t wait until tomorrow to tell you…

Over the weekend, Jonah started cruising! Tiny steps around the ottoman and the (rounded-edged) coffee table.

And we finally started childproofing. Yee-hah!

And in the it never stops changing department: We’ve had two good-to-great nights of sleep out of the last four, and three days of two naps! One was even the 10-hour-type night of yore. Last night might’ve gone better had we not thrown the boy in the car and gone out to the Apple store at 5:30 at night to test drive a new laptop.

Sick of being shut-ins after 5 p.m., we decided to break the rules, live a little. What could happen?

Tired boy fell asleep in his comfy new big boy car seat (not the “cowmooflage” print despite the Amazon pic) at 5:30 and a few, is what happened. And stayed asleep through our visit to the Apple store. Woke just enough to get his mouth around a boob when we got home, and slept again, missing dinner. And so, he was up at 9 for a nursing snack, and then up at 1, nap-nursing till 3-ish, up like the energizer bunny till 6, then down for a nap. Crazeee.

Oh so THAT’S what happens when you take the kid out at 5pm. Thanks for taking one for the team! We will be nicely shut in over here AGAIN tonight:)
Congrats on the cruising, but really childproofing kind of sucks and seems to be an ongoing neverending process.

    Thank you, everybody!

Becky — the editor over there worked at Parenting.com when I blogged my pregnancy on their site. She contacted me for this gig.

    Eva — LOL.
