Wow, things really change fast. At least from my point of view, where every minute detail is so large as my whole day is filled with baby.
Yesterday morning, he actually sat in the vibrating seat and looked interested in the hanging bears (a slightly morbid image, the way these bears dangle off that bar by the backs of their heads, but fortunately he doesn’t have that kind of reference) — while I TOOK A SHOWER!
Yes, Le Victoire!
And today, about the same time (post-second double boob feed of the morning), he’s doing it again. Yay!
Total interactive consciousness, coming soon…
It is like they say, just when you are about ready to throw them out the window, they do something new. I hear smiling is really going to knock my socks off. Looking forward to it.
Looking back, I can’t believe how big he is already. How different. This photo from about one week ago is wildly out of date:
He looks a little startled in this shot, but dig my groovy, thick, pregnancy-hormone-enhanced hair!
In further up-to-the-minute minutiae news, we had much less melting down time yesterday. This may be attributable to a) my caving in on the whole timing nursing thing again and just letting him go at it as long as he likes or until I simply can’t take it anymore; b) this is a new developmental stage; c) we’re getting better at figuring out when to check/change his diaper; or/and d) the arrival of my parents — thus, of course, making me look bad because really what’s all the complaining been about? He’s an angel.
Thanks, buddy!
I’m not complaining now, though. I’ll take the angel behavior however I can get it!

Lovely photo.
And yes, things do always change when you least expect them to. And when you look back the time will have gone so quickly. Until you read archives in your blog of course. It’ll be so strange for you to read these posts in a month or so – you will smile wryly and think how long ago it all seems.
Have a lovely Christmas, Julie.

Wow you look great and Jonah is sooo adorable. Pregnancy really does wonders for your hair just don’t freak out when it starts falling out in a couple months. I guess it seems you don’t experience the same shedding you normally do during pregnancy, but then a few months after the baby is born it starts to fall off. Perfectly normal. I’m glad things are looking up.

He is absolutely beautiful! And, you look great, Julie!
( I have heard, by the way, that kids always put on their best for grandparents! something about common “enemies”???)
