This is one of those meta posts where I break my own storytelling rhythm to fill you in on things. Sort of.
Things are certainly better than they were the other night. I had doubts about posting a dark post because of, you know. And I’ve been feeling obligated since to post something lighter, but there just hasn’t been TIME.
Will I only talk around things without saying concrete things today? Maybe.
Here’s a concrete thing: We had an appointment with a sleep consultant today.
Here’s another, sort of: I had a conversation with Jonah wherein we discussed my body parts. It was hilarious and endearing and awkward. Been on the fence about writing about it. Somewhere between profane and sacred.
Scott suggested we start a blog of photographs of Jonah’s toys. It’s like a constant rotating modern art exhibit, the way the toys interact.
Here’s some pictures:
Spiderman’s vaguely yogic pose:
The Batmobile being driven by cat treats (yes, he put them there):
The crew (partial):
And, finally, a photograph of Jonah’s famous art piece: “Magenta!”
I love when i find toys doing funny things. Like the fire truck ladder is leading up to the DVD player. “Fire in the tray!”
Love the photos. Love the imagination, creativity — cat treat drivers.
Glad things are some better. Sleep, elusive sleep.
And discussions of body parts… hilarious, endearing, awkward… yes, yes, yes
Oh, and write what you want to write (directly or not), when you have time. It’s your blog.
Haha, I love the old school batman figure
