baby’s firsts: high culture and art

This is how we spent our belated Valentine’s Day…

Baby’s first lunch at Chez Panisse:

Baby’s first comic book convention:

Before you ask… NO, that is not my husband in the storm trooper costume. This was also my first comic book convention and I have to admit that the costumed conventioneers were kind of my favorite part.

Amazingly, my husband didn’t buy anything.

But I did:

A “pea in the wind” onesie. Get it? Now wishing I’d also gotten the “Pea Pea Dance” one, since all items were 30% off at the show. Sigh.

In picture 2, Jonah looks like Scott’s Dad to the life. He’s darling!!! You all are darling. *Love* the comics convention picture.

I am so impressed that you took him to Chez Panisse. Also impressed by his hairdo.

    Awww. Thanks, everyone!

It was Scott’s first trip to Chez Panisse too. We’re total foodies, so it was a big deal to get out like that. We picked lunch b/c we figured it would bother the other patrons less — although we also went out the night before, with another family, to “B” restaurant, not quite as fancy-pants, but still… fortunately, the boy slept through the whole meal! Wahoo!

The baby doesn’t know quiet what to do with himself next to that stormtropper :).
