It’s completely amazing. He’s making eye contact. He’s smiling. He’s mellow. We took a bath. He loved it. He slept in the Moby for hours, didn’t cry when I put him in the bucket and took him to the cranial-sacral chiropractor, chilled through his appointment, complained initially when I put him in the Bjorn (rather than carry bucket) to get to my next appointment — but that was hunger, soon sated. After that we walked around the neighborhood in the evening, with him asleep in the Bjorn.
He’s so present. During dinner, he just sat in my lap and watched us eat. This is unprecedented.
Of course now he’s crying. He might be hungry. Will try boob, check his diaper, hand him to Scott who will swaddle him and rock him to sleep remarkably quickly. Just had to report the astonishing CHANGE today. Maybe it’s the no-dairy thing, maybe it’s a new milestone, maybe it’s just one good day. I don’t care, I like it.
Woo hoo! Now he’s going to get really fun.
