Now we’re back to the old fussy baby who won’t sleep even when he wants to.
He’s down, he’s up, he’s down, he’s up… he’s a miserable wreck.
Grrrrrrrr.

you might have heard all of this but I’ll write it incase you haven’t.
Babies love bouncing- in your arms sit on your bed and bounce, and not little bounces but big ones, if you have an exercise ball that works well.
My DD wouldn’t sleep at all when you put her down flat so we got a sleep wedge that keeps them on an incline, It’s also made of memory foam which is much softer than the crib or bassinet
also I got told a schedule that helped me, your child should eat and then be awake for an hour and then sleep for an hour so maybe you are missing the “prime time” and waiting until he is overtired to put him to sleep.
oh and my DD was sensitive to citrus if I had a glass of OJ she would be fussy the whole day.
OK so that is all the wisdom that I have to offer you, I hope you find something that works for you so that you can enjoy your baby
Thanks Tammy! We do have a ball — two actually, one in bedroom and one in living room, both of which we use A LOT! Also use the glider chair. All help tremendously.
Last night we put a rolled up towel under the board under his co-sleeper mattress to create that incline. Also made sure I held him up to burp for 15 minutes after feedings, even at 3 in the morning.
I like the awake an hour sleep an hour idea. Unfortunately, yesterday, as much as we kept getting him to fall asleep, he wouldn’t stay asleep, and then later in the evening it was full-out gastric distress, which we are still trying to sort out, doing what we can to help him — including gripe water, and me giving up dairy for starters, to see if that makes a difference.
This morning he is back to his old/new adorable coo-ing self.
Hey Jules,
I know everyone is giving you advice . . .and don’t want to add to it, however here’s am idea I heard: my web designer said her grandboy was the same, so mom stopped nursing him and put him on soy milk and he’s been an angel ever since. Take what you like and leave the rest.
xoxo
Umm… have a look at recent research on soy milk, especially for boys. Soy today is industrialized; soy milk etc. are created using processes that are not at all traditional and may not be healthful. Much of the soy products we’re eating are not fermented and this is bad for the guts. I would research heavily before giving baby soy milk.
Here’s the article I saw, researched by a writer with a Masters’ in Public Health:
