So this is my 100th post. There’s a kind-of tradition in bloglandia that for your 100th post, you write out 100 things about yourself. I’ve been thinking about this for a while, and as yet have not made that list.
People say pregnancy prepares you for childbirth in ways you might not normally expect. The insomnia, for instance, is great practice. Maybe not having the time or focus to write my list is another.
So how about if instead we use this 100 thing towards a good cause? Breastfeeding. Public breastfeeding. Breastfeeding perceived as normal and not obscene. I’ve added a button to my sidebar (under networking), that links you, me, us to a website fighting the good fight. Here it is in-post as well, just in case:
Bill Mahr was just one tiny piece of the puzzle. Facebook is apparently another.
The League of Maternal Justice is collecting breastfeeding photos for a virtual breastfest on October 10. I’m not quite breastfeeding yet, but you might be?
If you click the button or link to go there, leave a comment here and let me know. Maybe if I get 100 people to become aware of the issue, that will be a good way to celebrate my century post.
Thanks for your help!
