Muddy Feet

The side effect of leaving my computer home?

This morning, I got up early and took out my new camera.

I started shooting and then quickly remembered that without my laptop, I don’t have access to the photoshop version that can read RAW files, so I had to switch to JPEG.

kauai with preschooler, days 2-through-8 (round 3)

And poof, it’s over. Am already back in Oakland which was shivery and cold and gray from the moment we returned through midday today, just depressing enough to make the already fading memories of the trip a little more vivid before they are gone.

Sometimes he fills it with the coins from his mushroom bank, chatting to himself as he marches around. “Need to PACK the money in . . . → Read More: plane trip

traveling with toddler kauai day 4 – 8: it’s over already?

Whooosh! And then we flew home.

Live blogging the vay-kay stalled mid-trip due to my trying to upgrade the platform of this blog and thereby breaking it. The lovely hosts at blue host had a backup they could revert to but by then I was ready to give the internet a rest and just get . . . → Read More: traveling with toddler kauai day 4 – 8: it’s over already?

traveling with toddler kauai day 3: chickens, eggs, potatoes

If you are traveling in Kauai with a toddler, definitely pick a resort that has CHICKENS! and ROOSTERS! on the property. Serious delight-makers. Every day so far has involved much CHASING. Our vacation sound scape is a combination of crashing waves and cockadoodledoos.

We never did make it to the swanky organic market. 45 minute . . . → Read More: traveling with toddler kauai day 3: chickens, eggs, potatoes
