Do they really need that Hep shot at birth? Come on! I think I managed to put it off for my kids for several years. Long enough for them to get the Thimarisol (mercury) out of the damn vaccines. When my oldest was born, I chose a pediatrician that I knew saw things very similar to how I did. Tragically, she died not long after. I inherited her partner, who believes in being much more regimented about parenting than I am (let them cry it out, NO co-sleeping, get every shot available, etc.). She is a very competent doctor and a super nice person, but we butted heads a bit in the beginning. I think she has figure out now that I'm not going to change, so she doesn't offer her opinion as much. It would be nice, though, if I felt like we were on the same page. Enjoy the hypnobirthing classes! We took them with the first pregnancy. I didn't with the second (and didn't practice--thought I would remember enough since it had only been a year and a half).
