recipes of the week

This first one was sooooo good and tasty. Came from epicurious.com, incorporating modifications suggested by readers in the comments, and skipping the whole cut into small pieces on skewers thing, because we don’t have any skewers, or a barbecue grill. But we do have some lovely steak knives that we received as a wedding gift.

back into the pool

Went back to prenatal swim class again today. In fact, I joined the Y for the summer to take these classes. So this is my current exercise regime: Swim on Mondays and Fridays, Pilates on Wednesdays, prenatal yoga on Thursdays.

We resemble a school of chatty and colorful ducks; each of us with our personal choice of floaties. Some prefer the . . . → Read More: swim class

bad wife

Why I am a terrible wife:

I woke up this morning and my husband announced that he’d had a knee in his back all night. I didn’t apologize. I said — why didn’t you do something about it? He said — I didn’t want to wake you.

Then I announced to my husband that the . . . → Read More: bad wife
