more prenatal test results: don’t worry

The remaining chromosomes have been counted and in spite of my extremely advanced maternal age (38 on Tuesday, Happy Birthday to me), everything is in pairs, like how they’re supposed to be.

Oh, and there’s no toxoplasmosis virus in the fluid either.

But the two-vessel umbilical cord thing is more of an issue than first . . . → Read More: more prenatal test results: don’t worry

fat or pregnant? my belly photos

We’re 18 weeks today.

Scott has taken to calling us “guys.” As in, “How are you guys doing?”

And what about my friend who’d said our inseminating activities having taken place in advance of ovulation meant we’d have a girl? And then there was . . . → Read More: it’s a…

surviving the amnio

We had the amnio test yesterday, and anticipation was in fact worse than actuality.

We arrived at the lab at 1:00 sharp, as I had explicitly been instructed to do by the nurse who made our appointment over the phone two weeks ago.

At around 1:30 we were called in to meet with the genetic . . . → Read More: surviving the amnio

peanuts are back on the good list

Yes, I already said I’m not a huge fan of them, but I have missed gnawing on an occasional chicken satay with the sauce (it’s pointless without), and to have one more food item to be less afraid of ingesting, well that would increase the calm factor slightly.

All it took was for me to . . . → Read More: peanuts are back on the good list
